Learning

Life-long learning is basic for growth in faith. New member classes and orientation to the Lutheran faith are led by one of our pastors. Bible studies and other learning opportunities are also available.

The Children's Ministry at Peace Lutheran Church provides educational opportunities to children who are at the sixth grade level and below.  A focus of the Children's Ministry is the Sunday School, which takes place from 9:00 a.m. through 10:15 a.m. for children ages 3 years old through 6th grade. Intergenerational events are held several times a year.  Children, teens and adults have made cards for Project Boomerang during a winter session and worked in the butterfly garden on Earth Day.

June 2008Ready for the pageantThe Sunday School year runs from September through May. Christmas provides special learning opportunities, and the children often present a pageant.

First communion instruction is offered periodically throughout the year.

Confirmation for youth is a two year program led by the pastor and adult volunteers.  It begins for rising 7th graders with Confirmation Camp where the young people meet others of their age from the metropolitan area and begin the learning process that leads to full church membership.

Come, join us and learn.
