This free workshop will feature presentations by the Fairfax County Urban Forrester, Jim McGlone, and ReLeaf Director, Taylor Beach.

Topics will include

• Fairfax County’s goals for tree cover;
• How trees can benefit your property aesthetically and economically;
• How to select appropriate trees;
• How to plant trees; and
• How to care for existing and new trees.

You will receive a free seedling to take and plant!

To register, email info@sharingpeace.org with your name and the place of worship that you represent.  Indicate whether you want a sapling with your response. We want to be green: bring your own name tag and coffee mug please.

Saturday, March 13, 7-9pm - Play BINGO for HAITI - YOU are invited to PLAY BINGO with all proceeds going for HAITI.  There will be a $2.50 entry fee for everyone over 12; adult BINGO cards will cost 25₵ and youth cards will be 10₵.  Yes, there will be prizes!  I would appreciate if you bring a sweet or salty snack. Drinks will be provided.  The funds will be divided between the Lazarus Project and ELCA Disaster Response.  Child care will be available for children too young to play.  You are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to this event.  Please sign up in the fellowship hall or by contacting Sue Clark 703-573-2719 or chezclark@cox.net.

Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - The Lunch bunch will meet at 11:30 am at Fuddruckers Restaurant located at 4300 Backlick Rd. in Annandale, VA (where Backlick, Columbia Pike and Little River Turnpike meet).  The Lunch Bunch is a group of individuals who gather monthly for food and fellowship.
