Ministry to Youth

The Youth Ministry provides Sunday morning fellowship and discussion times and weekend activities for all middle and high schoolers. The Youth Ministry also organizes weekend and summer activities.

• Confirmation class is offered to all 7th and 8th graders from 9:15 - 10:15 on Sunday mornings. Confirmation students have the opportunity to attend Confirmation Summer Camp at Mar Lu Ridge.
• High schoolers meet in the Youth Room for discussion and Bible study Sunday mornings. We also go to breakfast the first Sunday of every month. Popular breakfast locales include Starbucks, Ihop and Einstein Bagel Bros.
• The youth also attend Shekinah and Chrysalis which are synod-wide youth events at the 4H Center in Front Royal, VA. Chrysalis (11/30 - 12/2) is for high schoolers and Shekinah (3/7 - 3/9) is for middle schoolers.
• The youth are also planning to attend the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans the summer of 2009.

• March 23: Easter Breakfast - The Youth will be serving breakfast between 9 and 10 on Easter Sunday. Pancakes, sausage and egg bake will be served. Donations will go towards the youth fund to pay for the summer retreat and the National Youth Gathering in 2009.
• March 29: Congregational Paint Day - The Youth will be joining the rest of the congregation in painting the Sunday school rooms.
• April 5: Painting the Youth Room - If you didn't get enough painting the weekend before, the Youth will be painting the Youth Room. Pizza will be provided to those who help.
• April 20: Mini Golf - The youth are going to play mini-golf after the 10:30 service.
• May 17 - 18: Lockin - Youth lockin Saturday night until Sunday morning.
• August 6 - 10: Summer Retreat - More details to come.
